Etta (Barton) Swafford

Etta (nee Barton) Swafford, beloved wife of the late Alvin Swafford. Devoted mother of Timothy Swafford of West Union, Ohio and Charles Swafford and Janice Moore, both of Cincinnati and the late Esther Blanton and John Swafford.  Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her 15 brothers and sisters and her parents, James and Sadie Barton. Mrs. Swafford worked for many years as a cook at the Sportsman's Cafe at Eighth Street and State Avenue. Tuesday, January 8, 2019, age 86. Visitation Monday, January 14, 2019, 10am-11am at Ralph Meyer & Deters Funeral Home, 4164 West Eighth Street, Price Hill. Funeral service to follow at 11am at the funeral home. Interment Baltimore Pike Cemetery.
