Amber D. Galindo (nee Lay) of Hobbs, New Mexico, beloved wife for 10 years of Juan D. Galindo. Devoted mother of J.P., A.J., Josiah, Lily and Leilani Galindo. Loving grandmother of Lorenzo Galindo. Caring daughter of Mark A. Lay of Rising Sun, IN and Dorothy (nee Harmon) Lay of Lubbock, TX. Dear sister of Eric Lay of Hobbs, NM, Josh Lay of Artesia, NM, Mark Lay Jr. of Rising Sun, IN and Heather Trevino of Lubbock, TX. Cherished granddaughter of Eileen (nee Earls) Miracle and the late Bill Lay, James Harmon and Ella (nee Seal) Harmon. Also survived by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
Amber was born in Cincinnati and as a young girl moved with her parents to New Mexico. She graduated from Hobbs High School in Hobbs New Mexico and also received her nursing training in New Mexico. In addition to home patient care as a travel nurse in Texas and New Mexico, Amber had held supervisory and training positions in her field. Amber had a huge heart and enjoyed taking care of her family and others.
Amber passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, after a long illness; she was 36 years old.
