Barbara Ann Carter

Barbara Ann Carter, beloved wife of Darwin Y. ‘Pete’ Carter Jr. Devoted mother of Darwin Y. ‘P.J.’ Carter III and Mike (Samantha) Swinford. Loving grandmother of Austin Gunnyyoung Carter.  Dear sister of Nancy (James) Freeman, Rose (Jason) Hollingsworth, Lori (Steve) Estep, Kenneth (Tina) Powell, David and Darrin Swinford and the late Gary Powell and Darrell Swinford.  Caring daughter of the late Henry (Joyce) Swinford and Rose (nee Richmond) (Ed) Powell. Also survived by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and great grandnieces and great grandnephews.

Barbara Ann was a graduate of Taylor High School had been employed as a seamstress for many years for Calvin Klein and Polly Flinders.  After retiring, Barbara started her own business, “Wacky Wax Hands” which she operated for nearly 30 years. Barbara passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital; she was 73 years old.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Sunday, April 13, 2025, 2:00PM-5:00PM, Aston Woods Clubhouse, 3745 Chestnut Park Ln, Cleves, OH 45002.
