Charles DeWayne Hodge Sr., beloved husband for 30 years of the late Gloria J. (nee Lindsey) Hodge. Devoted father Dennis Ray Hodge and Wayne (Kathryn Balz) Hodge, both of Cincinnati. Loving grandfather of Brandon, Mackenzie, Kiera, Gracie and Bernadette. Dear brother of Delbert and Joel Hodge of Cincinnati, Elvis Hodge of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Elana Fuson of Aurora, Indiana and the late Linda, Shirley and Dennis Ray Hodge. Also preceded in death by his parents, Joel and Anna (nee Simms) Hodge.
Charles attended Hughes High School and he served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed as a foreman for Lunkenheimer Valve for 20+ years. He enjoyed coaching baseball, fishing and watching the Cincinnati Bengals.
Charles passed away at Ivy Woods Care Center on Saturday, February 3, 2024, after a brief illness; he was 74 years old.
Visitation Thursday, February 8, 6PM-8PM at Ralph Meyer & Deters Funeral Home, 4164 West 8th Street, Price Hill. Funeral Service Friday, February 9, 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment with military honors to follow at Bridgetown Cemetery.
