Daniel R. Long

Daniel R. Long, beloved husband for 26 years of Diane C. (nee Holscher) Long.  Devoted father of Tomasina ‘Taffy’ (James) Honerlaw of Fairfield, OH and Daniel R. (Mary) Long Jr. and Douglas W. (Alana Fisher) Long, both of Cincinnati. Loving grandfather of Cory Barnett, Callie Compston, Megan Long, Ethan Long and great-grandchildren, Penelope and Lily.  Dear brother of the late John, Harold and Donald Long, June Macke and Phyllis Peeno. Also survived by his step-children, Michael (Nora) Schablein and David (Jodi) Schablein, step-grandchildren, Sam Schablein, Ryan Schablein, Hope Schablein, Casey Schablein, Camryn Schablein and the late Clara Schablein. Preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Clara (nee Menard) Long.

Daniel was a graduate of Elmwood High School and retired in 1998 from Procter and Gamble after 28+ years as a technician. He passed away after a long illness, on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Western Hills Retirement Village; Daniel was 86 years old. Services are private.  Ralph Meyer & Deters Funeral Home assisting the family.
