Iona 'Gert' Meyer

Iona Gertrude ‘Gert” Meyer (nee Baker), beloved wife of 60 years of the late Donald L. Meyer. Devoted mother of Pandy L. (David) Bowen of Cincinnati and Randy D. (Amy) Meyer of Alexandria, Kentucky.  Loving grandmother of 5 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of Gary and Dennis Baker, both of Cincinnati, Donnie Baker of Kansas, Ricky Baker of Colorado and George Baker of Florida. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Mae (nee Mattingly) Baker.
Gert retired from Walmart in Alexandria, Kentucky, were she was employed as the Ladies Department Apparel Manager.  She passed away unexpectedly February 11, 2022 after a long illness; she was 80 years old. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 26th, 1:30PM-4:00PM at the First Baptist Church, 4410 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076.  Memorial contributions may be made to Parkinson Support & Wellness, 260 Stetson Street, Suite 2300, Cincinnati, OH 45219 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 42217, Cincinnati, OH 45242.
