James K. Wright Jr., beloved husband for 54 years to Necia Gale (nee Lyons) Wright of Cincinnati. Devoted father of James K. (Tanya Buren) Wright, Necia G. (Jason Hawkins) Dawson, Theresa Edna (Kenneth) Turney and Johnna R. (Douglas Todd) Wright, all of Cincinnati and Cheryl A. (Lamar) Rodgers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and the late Joshua Lee Wright. Loving grandfather of Adam, Toni, Derrick, Joshua Jr., Jada and Josiah ‘Bobo” Wright, Haley and Zachary Dawson, Nicolas Todd, Brooklynn Steele and Lacey Howe and great-grandchildren, Little Adam, Ginya Yellowbird, Aubrielle, Airielle, Anthony, Ajani, Anhnyelle, Ahniyelle, and Antony Young, Payton Wright, Paxton Dawson, Jayden and Abbigale Ray and Kaleb Ferguson. Dear brother of Penny Sue Quakemeyer of Cincinnati and the late Becky Iles, Regina Dawson, Gary, Danny and Donna Wright. Also survived by his daughter-in-law, Tarrese Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, James K. Wright Sr. and Margaret Mary Odelia Smock.
James was a tool & die maker for General Motors at the Norwood Assembly Plant. Following the plant closure he worked for Delphi Corporation in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of the United Auto Workers.
He passed away at Bethesda North Hospital on January 31, 2021, after a brief illness; he was 70 years old.
