Jerome F. ‘Jerry’ Federle, beloved husband for 54 years of Bonnie (nee Hehemann) Federle. Devoted father of Scott (Carrie) Federle of West Chester, Ohio and Todd Federle and Heather (Brian) Hutchinson, both of Cincinnati. Loving grandfather of Joseph, Carolyn, JT, Morgan, Mya, Liam, Quinn and Lily. Dear brother of Michael Federle of Menlo Park, California, Dennis Federle of Loveland, Ohio, Bill Federle of Newport, Kentucky, Diane Federle of Ventura, California and Mary Anne Bloemker and Debbie Pansiera, both of Cincinnati, Ohio. Preceded in death by his parents, Francis W. ‘Doc’ and Asella A. Federle.
Jerry graduated in 1964 from St. Gregory Seminary and received his Bachelor’s degree from Xavier University in 1968. He taught English and Personal Motivation at Elder High School for 20 years, retiring in 1988 to pursue other business opportunities.
Jerry enjoyed an illustrious tenure as Elder's Baseball Coach. "Coach Feds" retired with a then-school record 229 wins. Feds' prolific teams captured District Titles in 1978, 1979, 1983, 1984 & 1987; going on to claim Regional Crowns in '78 '79, '84 & '87 and reaching the pinnacle by winning Ohio Division 1 State Championships in '78 & '84. Renowned for his motto: "Defend As Champions", Feds was inducted into the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1993; and in 2006, was the recipient of Elder High School's distinguished Athletic Excellence Award for the member of the Panthers community "embracing the values of fair competition and whose tenacity and sacrifice have advanced the Elder athletic tradition."

Jerry passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 after a brief illness; he was 76 years old.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday, April 21, (Jerry’s 77th birthday) 12:00PM at St. William Church, 4108 W. 8th Street, Price Hill. Visitation in church 11:00AM until the time of the Mass. Private entombment St. Joseph Old Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Friday evening from 5:00PM-8:00PM in the Elder Schaeper Center.
