Joseph Jay Siciliano, beloved husband of nearly 54 years to Connie L. (née Robertson) Siciliano, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025, after a long illness. He was 78 years old.
A devoted father, Joseph is survived by his sons, Tony (Lynette) Siciliano of Zionsville, Indiana, and David (Alyssa Padgett) Siciliano of Hamilton, Ohio; and his cherished grandchildren, Joey (Alaina Arwood) Siciliano and Olivia (Nick) Baker. He is also survived by his brother, Jack O’Keefe of Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his brother, William O’Keefe, and by his parents, Joseph F. and Lorraine (née Fenwick) Siciliano.
Joseph was a proud 1966 graduate of Roger Bacon High School and honorably served in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service from 1966 to 1970.
He began his career as a union pipe fitter with the Formica Corporation, where he worked for many years before continuing his trade and retiring from the Feed Materials Production Center (FMPC) in Fernald, Ohio. At Fernald, he supported national defense work during the Cold War era and was employed by several federal contractors over the decades, including National Lead, Westinghouse, and Fluor. His dedication to his craft and country was evident throughout his long and respected career.
Private services will be held for the family, and Joseph will be laid to rest with military honors at Dayton National Cemetery on July 3, 2025.
In honor of his service and legacy, memorial contributions may be made to any organization supporting U.S. veterans.
Arrangements entrusted to Ralph Meyer & Deters Funeral Home.
