Josephine Ann ‘JoAnn’ Werle, beloved wife for 50 years of Robert W. Werle. Devoted mother of Maria (Joseph) Link and Jackie (Matt) Ferguson, both of Cincinnati and the late infant Robert Charles Werle. Loving grandmother of Addy and Vivie. Dear sister of Charles Wimmers of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky and the late Frank, Nick, Johnny and Fred Wimmers. Also preceded in death by her parents, Charles D. and Josephine A. Wimmers.
JoAnn was an avid crafter. During the first two years of the pandemic, she crafted and donated 2000 cloth masks to retirement facilities, schools, churches, the homeless and adults with disabilities. JoAnn crafted pinatas, and holiday costumes for the Veteran Motor Car Club of America in the 1970's and 80's as well as for family events. More recently she cross stitched, quilted and crocheted. JoAnn created many costumes, props and set pieces for Marjorie Book Continuing Education. She enjoyed bingo, skeeball, coffee and her grandchildren. For over 35 years, JoAnn worked as a cashier and clerk for several businesses including Woolworth, K-Mart and Strauss Industries.
Surrounded by her family, JoAnn passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, January 22, 2025; she was 73 years old.
