Mary Ellen ‘Cookie’ Doerger, beloved wife for 54 years of John J. Doerger Sr. Devoted mother of John J. Doerger Jr. and Anne M. (Jerry) Back, both of Cincinnati. Loving grandmother of Nathan Gevert and Max and Kallie Doerger. Dear sister of Dan and Susan Brock, both of California, William Frank Crooker III and Sandy Kreis, both of Cincinnati and the late Clyde ’Sonny’ and Shirley Brock, Linda Vornberger and Bonnie Richardson. Also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Cookie was also preceded in death by her parents, William Frank Crooker Jr. and Pauline Crooker.
Cookie was a 1970 graduate of Western Hills High School and during her working years was a manager for the Cincinnati Museum Center, retiring in 2017. Cookie passed away at Christ Hospital on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 after a brief illness; she was 73 years old.
Visitation Wednesday, April 9, 5:00PM-7:00PM with the funeral service at 7:00PM, Ralph Meyer & Deters Funeral Home, 4164 W. 8th Street, Price Hill.
