Richard Lavern Jones Jr., known by family and friends as Junior or J.R., passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Junior was born in Jacksonville, Florida on November 4, 1985. He was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and spent his entire adulthood in the Greater Cincinnati area. He was a graduate of Hughes High School. After graduation, Junior joined the the workforce and was a hardworking and responsible employee, working consistently throughout the years.
To know Junior was to love Junior. He had an amazing personality and was the life of the party. He was authentic; he moved with grace and class hence the name King Classick. He enjoyed laughing, cracking jokes, music, and watching movies. He also loved dining out, fashion, and traveling. What many people may have not known is that he had an amazing singing voice and was always ready to entertain.
Junior’s most admirable quality though, was his extreme loyalty to his family and friends. He was always there no matter what. He was the glue that held them all together. He was so supportive, kind hearted, brave; you always felt a good vibe when being around him. The kids loved him and he loved the kids, they always had great things to say about their uncle. His kindness, his strength, his calming demeanor and his undying love will truly be missed by all.
