Robert Baskin

Robert Baskin, beloved husband for 52 years of Gwendolyn D. (nee Buchanan) Baskin.  Devoted father of Robert Baskin Jr., Robert Kelly (Ynobe) Guerrant, Robin P. (Maurice) Wilson, Venice Shephard, Shondolyn R.B. (Rodolfo) Lagdameo , Kendra L. Baskin, April (James) Mitchell and Sarah (Justin ) Haygood, all of Cincinnati. Loving grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  Dear brother of the late Mildred Elaine Middlebrooks and Elois Mildred North. Also preceded in death by his parents, Todd (Mary) Baskin and Mattie (Arthur) Oliver.

Robert was a licensed HVAC Technician, who had a successful small HVAC business as well as a 30 year career with the Hamilton County Courthouse. He worked his way up from Stationary Engineer to Building Facilities Manager retiring in 2021. Robert was also a Mason in the Pride of Solomon Lodge, where he became Most Worshipful Grand Master in 1991.

Robert battled congestive heart disease, liver disease and diabetes. He passed away at his residence on Sunday, September 17, 2023; after long illness. Robert was 74 years old.

Funeral service Thursday, September 28, 12:00PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 745 Ezzard Charles Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45203.  Visitation in church one hour prior to the funeral service.  Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Ralph Meyer & Deters Funeral Home serving the family.
