“An adventurous life is only limited by boundaries set by oneself. So, go forth and live the life you have imagined; the life you were born to create.”
After 62 years of defining his own adventurous life, Roger Ellis June Jr., of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 15, 2024.
Roger graduated from high school in Adrian, Michigan before beginning his service to our country in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne. He attended the University of Cincinnati and was devoted to his job as a mechanical engineer for 30 years at Federal Equipment Company.
Roger’s greatest passions centered around his family and friends. He lived a life full of hobbies and exploration and was never in one place for too long. There was always a cave or campsite to explore, rock climbing and ballroom dancing to be done, or a boat on the Ohio river calling his name. He could often be found tinkering or fixing his custom camper van, cooking and creating in the kitchen, or spending down time with his cherished wife, their family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Thomas June, his parents, Patricia and Roger June and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anne and Tom Duffy.
Roger leaves behind a village of adoring family and friends. He will be missed and remembered by his beloved wife of 36 years, Paula Duffy-June, child Allister June of Madison, WI, siblings Kerry [Bridget] June of Fort Wright, KY, Bryan [Linda] June of St. Leon, IN, Trisha [Jim] Conover of Cincinnati, OH, and Kristen Mason of Harrison, OH. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Kathleen Duffy, Carol [Steve] Pieper, Sheila Duffy-Sundstrum, brother-in-law Mike [Lorie] Duffy and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially his much-loved friends Paige and Ben Foss and their children, Eliot, Hayes and Isla.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 am, at St. William Church, 4108 W. 8th Street, Cincinnati, OH 45205. Visitation will be in the church for one hour preceding the mass. (Click here for Livestream of the funeral Mass on YouTube).
