Thomas Lee Gyarmati, beloved husband of the late Linda F. (nee Plogsted) Gyarmati. Devoted father of Justin (Jade) Gyarmati of West Chester, Ohio, Myla Gyarmati of Cincinnati and Adam (Itsuko) Goldston-Rumpke of Cincinnati. Loving grandfather of Christian, Grace, Daniel, Michelle, Hallie, Abriella, Ellianna, Raymond, Gage and Trinity. Dear brother Richard and Phil Gyarmati, both of Milford, Ohio, Mary Jo Reincke of Cleves, Ohio, Betty Stewart of Alexandria, Kentucky and the late Joseph Gyarmati II, Rose Ann Dingess and Nancy Widmeyer. Loving son of the late Joseph and Mary (nee Craig) Gyarmati.
At 17 years old, Tom left school to join the United States Marine Corps. He served in the Vietnam War and in 2015 Tom became the 100th recipient of an Elder High School US Veteran’s Diploma.
Tom was an entrepreneur of a local fitness center, batting cages and wrestling arena. He had a love for horses that led him to become a ferrier and horse trainer.
When he lost Linda, the love of his life, it was his grandchildren that kept him going; the love for his grandchildren was indescribable.
Tom was an Iron worker and was employed by William Lang & Sons Company. He passed away unexpectedly on March 24, 2021; he was 72 years old.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 31, 5:30PM at St. William Church, 4108 W. 8th St., Price Hill. Military Honors will follow the Mass. Dayton National Cemetery will be the final resting place for Tom and Linda. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
