William K. Hood Jr.

US AIR FORCE-VIETNAM VETERAN

Cincinnati-William K. Hood Jr., beloved husband of Virgie Sue (nee Foster) Hood. Devoted father of William M. (Monica) Hood of Roy, Utah, Angela (Brian) Smith of Crittenden, Kentucky, Barkley (Lisa) Turpin of Independence, Kentucky and Melanie Gill of Pensacola, Florida. Loving grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Janice Lawson and Jennifer Grooms, both of Cincinnati and the late Michael Hood. Preceded in death by his parents William K. Hood Sr. and Alvera Hood.  William was a 1967 graduate of Elder High School, served in the US Air Force in Vietnam (3 tours) and was a railroad mechanic for 30 years. He retired in 2005 after working for L&N and CSX. 

William passed away after a long illness, Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Vitas Hospice, Drake Hospital, age 71.

Visitation Friday, August 21, 12:00PM-2:00PM at Ralph Meyer & Deters Funeral Home, 4164 W. 8th Street, Price Hill.  Catholic Funeral Blessing at 2:00PM followed by Military Honors.
